The "lace" pattern used for this poncho came from Susan Guagliumi's new book Open Spaces. It is a laddering technique. The trim used is from the book as well. It is called Winged Ladders. The lace pattern was very easy to memorize as was the trim. The yarn was Caron Cakes 40 % acrylic and 60% cotton from my stash.
