Question from Mary Lou:
I have a Riki Mundstock pattern on a floppy disc that I would like to be able to use with Knit it Now. Do you know if there is a way to convert floppy disc patterns for use?

I have absolutely no experience with floppy discs.

  • Does anyone have a reference for Mary Lou?
  • Is Ricki Mondstock still active?

Hello Mary Lou,
I recently had 2 floppy discs put onto a CD, so yes it is possible.  I was lucky enough to know someone who had the equipment to do it.  If you google your question and state your area, you should come up with some answers.  Good luck.

You can still buy external floppy disk drives. I bought one just a few months ago for myself on Amazon. It was very inexpensive. It uses a USB plug just like all our other "extras" and had no problem opening the files from some disks I inherited from the person who sold me her knitting machine. Good luck!
