I'm trying to use a garter bar and am having a hard time getting the fabric back on
Jacqueline O
Oh last night I finished a lace scarf.
Nancy M
also check that your latches are working easily and gate pegsare straight
Nancy M
lace, tuck and slip stitches are radically affected by bad spongee
Mary Ann B
Great idea Nancy!
Nancy M
that's why I often made 3 swatches exactly the same...one wss by hand dry flat, one thru washer dryer several times. one indressed
Michelle E
Had that surprise after washing too many times
Marjorie M
Math not the problem! I need to know what she got with what she did. Then I. Would have a basis to adapt from for me!
Lynnette D
It's time to replace the sponge bar
Lynnette D
When the needles won't stay up in working position
Lola P
When is the right time to replace the bar??
Cindy Minota
I won't do a pattern without a schematic now--saves a LOT of hassle!
Nancy M
swatch
Beverley G
What is sponge bars, I don’t seem to have it on my sk155
Julie Ann M
That’s me
Nancy M
ease
Nancy M
I've even added eae that was included because I didn't read all the pattern
Marjorie M
Read pattern! If you can before buying. I bought pattern from British designer for machine knitting that has no gauge, machine, or sizing to it!
Carol D
Kay M I don't know any MK's live in person, but this is a great place to get help!!!
Julie Ann M
Check your sponge bar
Kay M
My first time here so forgive if it all seems very elementary. No machine knitters in my city.
Joy G
yes, i did that lol and had to undo it :(
Mary Ann B
At the same time! Been caught with that one.
Wilma T
That would be great Kay!!! Thank you
Nancy M
LOL. I have a few things that I didn't read ahead....
Kay M
Wilma, I will see if Sue can help me figure out a pattern and share with you if we are allowed to do that.
Cindy Minota
I set small goals for each session-I like to start with sleeves because they are a good canvas to see what your works look like;
Wilma T
Kay, I do not like a drop shoulder either. A modified drop shoulder is better, but I prefer a raglan or set in sleeve
Yvonne W
Hello from Pa.
Nancy M
i agree.. I even cast on so its started when I get up in the morning
Joy G
Before I buy any more lol
Julie Ann M
Julie from Italy
Nancy M
whew! finally made it here...Nancy Mangeri in Kansas
Joy G
I have a mixture of yarns, which I need to use first ...
Kay M
Yes Wilma, that is the shoulder seam. I need a repeatable sweater pattern like Boxy but do not like drop shoulder.
Marjorie M
What if you are learning? I keep trying different things to see what I like. Eventually, I expect to settle on a way for “my patterns” (originals, in particularly) and what type of patterns to use. One seems like too narrow a goal.
Michelle E
I get distracted looking at all my patterns
Kate A
When the last thing I do in my knitting room is prepare for the next project, I am much more likely to get in and start to be productive.
Wilma T
Shoulder seam like Nina Miklin uses?
Kay M
Thank you sue. Kay
Wilma T
Yes, Mary Ann and amazing how much you can do in even 10 minutes
Kay M
Kay who desperately needs help with classic fully fashioned shoulder seam. That is like a classis cashmere behind shoulder seam. Trying to get back on my standard gauge brother after surgery
Mary Ann B
Yes Wilma, I seem to work faster if I have a timer going. The hour for knitting is so I MOVE!
Wilma T
Yes, I agree, a timer really helps. Also with household chores
Mary Ann B
I find if I set an alarm for 1 hour to knit I do get things done.
