Where is the Zero needle?

The abbreviations in vintage patterns can be confusing. Don't let this one trip you up.

Do I cast on 20 or 21 stitches? Some traditional patterns use this convention to indicate how many stitches to cast on.

Don't overthink this

There is no 0 needle, so the instruction 10-0-10 indicates 10 needles left and right of the IMAGINARY Zero mark.
