Archive of Thread: Ribber Color Changer for Brother/Knitking Back

Hi!

I've been doing a lot of DBJ with the ribber color changer, and occasionally I have the issue where it picks up two yarns.

Is this normal?  Do I have it set wrong?  Or is it maybe a cheap copy (i got it on ebay) that doesn't work as well?

It's not too big of a deal to just pay attention to the yarns, but I can't help but wonder if I'm somehow missing something!

Hi Grame, I'm just learning myself but I had trouble with my color changer too, and I found something that worked for me. On the carriage itself there is the metal piece that catches the yarn as it goes through the changer. The big thing that sticks out as part of the "V" where the yarn goes in the carriage. It's kind of bendable and I pushed mine a little bit further to the back of the carriage and now it works!! I do have to check every time to make sure, but it works nearly all the time now.
