On any garment piece, by zooming in along the edge of the garment piece and selecting exact stitch layout using View / Stitch Handles will then show light orange ovals for each individual stitch along the edge of the garment piece. Selecting a stitch using the left mouse button, or multiple stitches using the control-left mouse buttons turns these selected stitches light green. When these selected points are dragged to a new position for the first time, this changes an important property of the entire piece: it becomes an Exact Stitch Layout piece. This gives you full control of every single stitch on the piece edges as needed. This can be used for correcting Knit Direction issues, for smoothing a curve even further, or for adding a new area.
