Sue Jalowiec bye everyone! I'll put up links and the chat in a couple of hours |
Gabriele TS Thanks and good bye |
Wilma T Thanks to Matt and you for all the info |
Patricia B The note cards you gave us in the ribber KAL are very useful! |
Karyn B Thanks Sue...diving into the Bootcamp class today :) |
Karen P Looking forward to the ribber KAL and learned new stuff from the CO/BO/HEM challenge! |
Judy P Thanks |
Patricia B Catherine, I also have those cards with my Singer 700. Havenât figured out what to do with them yet. |
Judy P Hint when youi make samples please make notes. Did some and can't remember just what I did |
Beverly P Thanks! Looking forward to more information on patterning! |
Judy P 260 COL move to right and no needles come forward |
Colleen C ZaZa, not everyone has them and they have sophisticated patterns =( |
Sherry G Thank you, I mostly need confidence building at this early stage, and this kind of information helps a lot. |
Cindy Minota Thanks! Great teaser to get our cards and reader out of the box! lol |
Mary Ann B Catherine I have those cards for my SRP60 ribber, but I don't know how they work. |
Judy P did you have a chance to find out why my card wont read |
Karyn B I have the old book on translating hand/machine stitches. Where can I find the new one? Thanks! |
Gabriele TS I inspect the end stiches and in case I push it forward for not patterning by hand. |
Catherine Z An old Studio/ Singer 360. |
Eleanor L I know this is beyond what you are teaching today, but I love doing this set up for full needle bed both beds ribbing and use a pattern card. Can then use the card for most such as tuck or slip since there is always a rib stitch between each main bed stitch. Make very interesting patterns. Of course it works best using a 2/15 or 2/18 yarn. |
Catherine Z Studio SRP50 ribber. |
Marie-Jo C Can the machine be damaged if I use a bad card ? |
Judy P how do you figure edge stitches for seaming with the cards?? |
You would have to hand select the needles on the ribber |
Catherine Z My ribber has it's own cards for different rib patterns. |
Carol D Thanks, Catherine ... that's what I thought. :( |
Catherine Z Cards only pattern on the main bed when you are knitting circular. |
Eleanor L know this is beyond what you are teaching |
Carol D Do the cards pattern on the ribber when you are knitting circular? |
Nancy R I think they just repeat across the row. |
Judy P your making me want a new machine that can do all that. It is hard to look at card and know what it might look like an the actual knitting |
Karyn B Will a 1x1 punch card do the entire width of the knitting or can you make it do only a portion of the width, for instance, patterning only in the center. Does that make any sense? |
Gabriele TS yes all clear |
Margaret W Hi, this is Margaret from Malvern, England |
Nancy R Is there a memory feature? That would be very cool! I always have to use math to figure it out. |
Gabriele TS Really annoying is a mistake while patterning! Each time I have to figure out the routine for the memory-feature of the machine when ripping out! |
Jere B Hi from Halifax, NS! |
Christine P Hello from Ottawa Canada |
Debbie R Debbie R Hi form Georgia |
Gill K So itâs the blank and not the hole that shows the needle coming forward for tuck or is it the other way round |
Patricia B I donât mean the direction of the card. Iâm referring to the carriage movement. |
Jacqueline W Are needles selected on the punched hole or non-punched hole? |
Debbie R Debbie R |
Elizabeth Taylor Are the tuck needles the holes or white spaces? |
Beverly P Is there a simple way to remember the sequence for seting up card and starting the pattern? I get so tired of forgeting one step and not getting pattern or a loopy mess?! |
Eileen B Hello from Norway! |
Patricia B I understand why lace cards are directional for carriage movement. Are slip/tuck patterns also directional? |
Aly T Hi from Dublin, Ireland ! |
Susan B Hello from Oklahoma |

Mary Ann B I have used the same punch card for both standard and bulky |
Judy P can punch cards for bulky and standard by interchanged ? |
Petra M I will, Thanks for remembering |
