When the carriage moves all the way to the left end of the needle bed, the trip lever on the carriage arm activates the yarn changer and automatically exchanges one colour for another. The Silver Reed YC6 automatic yarn colour changer is for double and single bed knitting machines. Changing yarn colours faster, means more knitting is done in less time The YC6 can automatically alternate any two colours row after row and you have the option of activating a third or fourth colour at anytime by simply pressing a button. It includes a single bed carriage arm for knitting stripes and multicolor tuck and slip patterns. It also enables you to knit Fair Isle patterns where one colour (background) remains constant while the other changes.
