Quick!  Set your machine to TUCK

Tuck is a basic machine knitting feature that it adds so many possibilities for adding texture to your knitting.

When working tuck, certain needles do not knit and the working yarn passes OVER the tuck needles. When the tucked stitch(es) are knit, they "pull up" the knitting creating texture.
  • Automatic patterning machines can select the tuck needles for you and  make fast work of creating this versatile stitch pattern.

  • Manual Machines can create "pull up" stitches that accomplish the same magic.
