Tuck is a basic machine knitting feature that it adds so many possibilities for adding texture to your knitting.
When working tuck, certain needles do not knit and the working yarn passes OVER the tuck needles. When the tucked stitch(es) are knit, they "pull up" the knitting creating texture.
