As machine knitters we can take advantage of these talented designers work and "translate" their vision to be used with our knitting machines.
No, not every hand knitting pattern is appropriate for our machines.
- Designs that are heavy with garter stitch should remain on 2 needles.
- Top-down-knit-in-one-piece designs won't work
BUT ... - Why not substitute a textured stitch pattern on the machine for garter stitch?
- Add a few seams and copy that complicated top down design
- Why not combine hand and machine knitting to duplicate the design faster?
Knit it Now Machine-Knitables:
- We curate knitting designs from the hand knitting world. (These are used with permission from the owners.)
- We make suggestions as to how you can use the inspiration from the design with your knitting machine.
- You can purchase the original yarn and pattern ~OR~ you can choose your own yarn and use a Knit it Now pattern
