I'll bet knitters from yesterday would be shocked to see us "let it roll" and add no finish to the edges of our knitting.   I don't think hems were in the MK vocabulary in the 80's

Can you imagine the reaction of 80's knitters to seeing deliberate holes in the knees of jeans? :o)

IMHO pretty edges and hems can add such an updated look to our knitting and break out of the 80's "ribbing on everything".
