Machine knitted sweater displayed on mannequin, featuring self-striping yarn enhanced by textured stitch pattern design

Clever Details Make This Sweater Shine

What happens when you combine self-striping yarn with thoughtful stitch pattern? Cheryl's latest sweater shows us how simple design choices can transform basic elements into something extraordinary

variegated yarn

When fellow knitter Cheryl, first showed me her latest sweater, I recognized it as something special.

Her inspired use of self striping yarn (Knitpicks Swish Pop) with a textured Tuck Lace stitch pattern enhanced the color progression.

What I love most about this sweater is that it is reversible. Both sides of this stitch pattern are beautiful.

She used the Knit it Now stitch pattern KIN_466 and the Knit it Now "Bateau" (boat neck) sweater pattern.

The I-Cord finishing details add a professional finish.

Plus the fit and length are just what she wanted.

All of these details transform a good, simple shape into a great designer sweater!

Looking at Cheryl's sweater reminds me of the amazing creativity in our machine knitting community.

Thank you Cheryl, your willingness to share inspires us all!
