Kangaroo + Hood = Hoodie

Hand-in-hand with hoods are kangaroo pockets to create the classic Hoodie.
The kangaroo (AKA muff pocket and hoodie pocket) is a type of pocket, usually featured on hoodies and sweatshirts, that is large enough to fit both hands

The pocket is open on either side and its sits on the lower front section of the sweater,

Machine knitters can insert the pocket as we knit the sweater front with minimal hand finishing.
