During the show, a knitter suggested setting in sleeves with the sewing machine ... have you tried this?

Once I tried a top down (easy so I thought) set in sleeve of a straight armhole with fingering yarn. Never again😭. I so carefully hung the armhole, easing it so carefully. But the armhole gathered when the sleeve stitches were locked in by pulling on the sleeve stitches after removing from the knitting machine.  End result was the bodice side of the armhole was gathered & I had a lovely sleeve. Ugly, not an intentional design feature. Lesson learned the hard way.
