Archive of Thread: yarns yeoman elastomeric Back

I'm curious to know if anyone has tried working with this yarn.  By its description, I was thinking of trying it to make active wear tops and/or leggings for my granddaughters who are into horse events, climbing and dog showing events.. Has anyone here got any thoughts to share?  Thank you.

What a great question. I purchased a cone of it and thought I'd twist it together with some cotton in the ribbing as suggested in the description. With so many other ideas to investigate on this website (squirrel), I haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet. It's mighty thin to knit by itself, but it would be interesting to produce I-cord with it if at all possible with the stretchy quality, and make hair ties, belts and such. Not sure how the other colors look in person, but the one I got ("cobalt") has a lovely, rich color.
