I purchased my linker (new) less than 2 years ago but I am having problems with it.
Frequently the linker misses stitches so when the garment is taken off the linker, there is a gap in the seam.
The needle looks perfectly aligned according to the manual and I have adjusted the tension. The issues happen irrespective of the type of yarn I am using.
i would be grateful for any insights.

Try replacing the needle with a new one.
