I'm working on our newest hat pattern, Lucky Cloche and it has an unusual set of instructions for shaping the brim.
Here are the instructions and a quick video ... any thoughts on the instructions?

Cast on 134 stitches knit 2 rows 

RC000: Carriage on the right. Set carriage to hold
              Put left needles into hold (L12 - L35)
               Knit to the left - Wrap
               Put right needles into hold (R12 - R35)
               Knit to the right - Wrap
Work short row increases as follows:

RC 2: 3 stitches every other row, 14 times
          2 stitches every other row, 2 times
          Put into work the held needles on the right
          knit 1 row
          Cancel hold, knit across all needles
           Knit 1 row right

Thanks, Sharon ... for some reason the brim shaping instructions made me cross-eyed ..
