I am new to machineknitting, except for a Bond Sweathermachine I used 20 years ago for only one sweather. It was then put away. I bought a used Silver Reed SK 280 a few weeks ago and I just love this fantastic machine and what it can do for me. I have already knitted socks for my entired family!

The Studio (SK-Silver Reed) 280 punchcard is still my all-time favorite machine, too, even tho' I have 4 other machines, three of which are electronic.  It never fails me!  I'm going crazy on it right now making baby gown and bonnet sets just to use up all my left-over yarn cones.  Since starting machine knitting 33 years ago, I've made well over 100 pairs on socks on this machine!

Welcome Kjersti!   Aren't socks fun?  You can get creative making beautiful, useful things without a lot of time commitment
