I tried a simple pattern for the front of my sweater. kIN705. Tuck/slip/plain.  When. I reached the arrmhole I realized the back looked too long  even though the number of rows were equal. I pulled and measured and pulled but the sides were not even.
I plan to repeat the front at an increased tension or use the measurements from the lace swatch.

Any instructions or ideas are welcome.

HI Cleo,
I'm not sure I understand the problem can you give more details?

What sweater pattern are you using?

If both the front and back were knit in the same stitch pattern, at the same tension and knit for the same number of rows they will be the same length.

Forgive me, but you said  "when I reached the armhole I realized the back looked too long" ... You aren't comparing the length while the knitting is on the machine are you?  If your front is done, you are measuring it off the machine.... not an accurate comparison.

You also mentioned a lace swatch ... KIN 705 is a slip 'n tuck stitch pattern   (I'm confused! ðŸ˜•)
