Hi Sue & fellow knitters
I watched the video on collars which was very helpful.
If I want to knit a collar for a cardigan/jacket, do I still knit a rectangle? Or should I slope the sides so they don't meet in the middle?

IMHO
It really depends on the look you want. But imagine a rectangle, in order for it to lay flat over your body, it will naturally spread.

But you could add a designer touch by adding some decorative decreases along the front edge

Thanks, Sue -- so in your drawing above it's just a rectangle - yes? "naturally spread" as you say.
