I wanted to no what kind of yarn do you use when you knit lace. I no you use the main yard but I am asking about thinner yarn. I wanted to no if I can use crochet string because they have different colors. If not what yarn do I use and the name.
I hope I explain my question right.

This is Sandee from Washington State, USA.  I have used #10 crochet cotton on my standard bed before, tho not as lace.  But I would assume that if you can get the weighting right for the lace without distorting the #10 crochet cotton, it would work.
