Found this in my closet with my other parts and pieces for my machine.  I don't remember buying it but I guess I did.  My question is; What does it do?

A linker is like a sewing machine for knitted work. It allowed you to connect two pieces of knitted fabric together.

Does anyone  have one of these and have they used it?

The L1 is usually used to do a Loop thru Loop cast off on the machine.  You knit the last row VERY loosely from right to left and then use the L1 to cast off from right to left.  Do you have the instruction sheet? That will show you how to attach it to the machine for use.  I think it can also be used to  connect two knitted pieces together although I have never used it for that.
