I need advice.  I have Machine Knit News magazines dating back to 1985 through 1999.  I have sorted them and most are a full year of magazines (Jan-Dec.)  I "inherited these many years ago". I would love for them to be in the hands of folks who would appreciate them.  As you know- they are full of great patterns and information that is still very useful.  I am exploring ways to get rid of them. I am not interested in making any money (I am thinking $1-$2 a magazine) but I am finding it will be more complicated than I thought to ship them.  I consulted the USPS.  If they shipped to WA, OR, CA I could use the priority "if it fits-it ships" box that would cost around $17.  All other locations would cost depending on zip code and twelve issues weighs anywhere from 4-5 lbs and it would be cheaper to mail regular mail.  Magazines do not qualify for book rate.
First of all how interested do you think people would be in these magazines.
Second - does anyone have any suggestions how I might facilitate this process?
