I have watched the videos re: mast and carriage gauge setting. I understand the carriage settings but having a hard time understanding what the tension mast dial should be set out for #4 acrylic yarn. I have it set at 3-5. My mast seemed set at the proper angle when knitting a row and it does flow easily.

If you are having trouble, please loosen up the tension (move to a higher number)

A "get acquainted" swatch is very helpful when working with a new yarn.
