Hi, I’m working on using my ribber to make socks with ribbing. I have a ribber for dummies question. When you transition from ribbing to stockinette for the foot, do you replace the ribber arm with the regular carriage arm at that point? Maybe it’s a dumb question but I learn visually & I have seen no pretty pics for that. 😄
‘Thank you in advance!

Yes you switch the sinker plate when knitting on the main bed only.

I like to think of it this way.  The main bed sinker plate hasn't brushes and wheels that help form the stitches.  The ribber sinker plate does not.

When knitting double bed, using the ribber cast on comb keeps the stitches in place. If you are knitting single bed, you need those extra brushes and wheels.

Thank you, Sue! I’m doing the ribber boot camp course & it’s giving me the confidence to really learn how to use the ribber! What fun!
