Okay, I'm ready to start my first knit-in-the-round ribber project on my new Taitexma TH/TR 160.

I'm so excited, but cautious.  I want to keep it as simple as possible and still be something useful beyond pot holders.  I'm thinking maybe a hat with a very wide hung hem. On a previous machine, I made one flat and seamed it, so most of the skills aren't new to me.

Comments, advice, and ideas would be very helpful.  Thanks!

Hi Hope,
Were you reading my mind?  I'm just creating a video about slip on that machine.
There is only 1 part lever, which means engaging the part button means it will slip in BOTH directions.
Needles in B will not knit.

More commonly, machines have 2 part buttons/levers so you can choose right, left or both.

So to knit in the round (or knit i-cord) it means flipping that lever back and forth each row

BUT - with the part button engaged, needles in D or E position will knit.

So you'll have to add one more step to your knitting in the round sequence, pulling needles out so they knit.

If that doesn't make sense, the video will be ready in a few hours. I'll put it in with the Taitexma course materials.
