Sue, can you tell me what the gap should be between sinker posts of main and ribber bed when the ribber is in working position?

I haven't used my machine a LOT yet, and not for a few weeks so I am not as fully familiar with it as I am with my others.  To-day I have moved the Taitexma into a different room so had to dis-assemble and re-assemble it.  Maybe it's the same as it was before but the gap looks very wide - I can get my index finger between the beds.  If the ribber needs to be close I can't see how to do that!

Hi Jenny,

If you can get your finger between, they are too far apart.

The first thing I would do is to remove the ribber completely (again) and re-attach it.
Re-adjust the clamps.

  Sometimes that's all it takes.

Make sure the setting plates are all the way in and the screw is tight.

If you need to raise the ribber, you'll use the spanner tool. In the Taitexma course are a couple of videos.

- Get familiar with your ribber
- Adjust the ribber.

Thanks, Sue!  Everything *seems* in order with regard to clamps and setting plates, but I will do as you say and try setting up again and see if I get a different result.  I'll also look at the Course again to see if there are any hints I've forgotten about.
