I have been machine knitting about 6 months.  I stumbled on a fiber arts show when I was on vacation in New Mexico this past spring.  I sew and we were exploring Albuquerque and went to this show.  They were demo-ing machine knitting and I was hooked.  No pun intended.  I have hand knitted but find it too slow and time consuming.  I came home to Michigan and found the Grand Rapids Area Machine Knitters club.  I now have a standard bed and ribber a mid-guage LK150, and a bulky guage with ribber.  I just made my first sock about 2 weeks ago and need to get the other one on the bed.  I am retired so I have more time to do my hobbies and crafts.  I found out about Knit it Now from one of the GRAMK club members and am enjoying the L’envelope knit along.  I have had 2 false starts but it is now ready to hang for the sleeve.  I am looking forward to January, because I can knit while I’m snowed in.  LOL
