It's been  mentioned that you can join 2 Brother KX-350 machines to make a wider needlebed. (These machines are no longer made)

I believe this is possible with the Silver Reed LK-150 has anyone done this?  Does it take a joining accessory?  Are these still available?

I have a Brother and recently found just a needle bed to add to mine, but it's done the same with the LK-150, you take off the ends and add another section,  you also have to join 2 sponge strips if yours isn't long enough , I've seen where people make a mini machine with the 2 extra ends, the only glitch I've heard about the LK-150 is that if your machine is made in Japan, you need to join it with another machine made in Japan, and join a Chinese made machine to another Chinese machine or they may not line up exactly , not sure if you allow outside links, but this is a blog post about joining 2 LK-100s http://clarissesmachines.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
