Brother Profile 500 for sale My husband thinks I’ll decide to keep this one because I kept exclaiming joy while testing it. This is a rare find. The whole thing is super clean. All the parts are original and still in the factory bags. The oil bottle cap even matches the cheery turquoise color of the machine. The bed is narrow which makes the overall setup compact, very light, and easy to handle. The carriage is small compared to newer models and very easy to slide across the bed. All parts are mechanical and straightforward, so it is easy to assemble and disassemble if deep cleaning is needed. A significant advantage of this machine relative to its later counterparts is all metal parts (with the exception of some small knobs and levers). Thus, no UV damage, discoloration, or plastic that can become brittle. Might be compatible with several ribber models and probably with KL111 knit leader but I personally did not have a chance to test it. This model has no lid. I will carefully pack it in its original box and then another larger box. There is some damage to the tension dial cap. Can provide picture on request. Thinking a replacement could can be 3D printed. The damage does not affect functionality. The machine is fully functional with tuck, slip and plain knitting. It will need a new sponge bar. Customer pick up or shipping from Liberty MO.
