Tame the Curl

Fast Knitting! No Roll ... seriously!

By definition, an infinity scarf or Mobius scarf has no beginning and no end. The challenge to knit one on a knitting machine is to create a reversible fabric. For single bed machines that means turning your work or reforming stitches.

This quick project creates a scarf that's not only reversible, but it has no stockinette curl.

Brush up or learn the skills needed to create reversible fabric and try an invisible seam worked on the knitting machine.

How To Create Reversible Knitting on the machine?

  1. Many Tuck patterns look great on both sides (not exactly reversible, but still beautiful)

  2. Use a Garter Carriage (Accessory for Standard Gauge Brother machines only)

  3. Cast on double the width of your scarf, seam in half and make a tube (hiding floats or the "wrong" side of the knitting)

  4. Use a Ribber for an almost infinite variety of knit/purl stitch combinations
