Cherie S Thanks for the tips! |
Karin R Cherie, if you use some lining that fabric will influence the drape. So, I usually take knitting except if I want to stiffen it up. Before attaching, wash both pieces! |
Cherie S Is it best to line with a knit fabric or a woven? Any thoughts on what is best? |
Elaine R I want to know how to knit that pillow!! |
Karin R sometimes a bit of felting helps too with floats... if you do it by design, knit a lot bigger than you want in the end... |
Elaine R Mittens and gloves are a challenge with rings. |

An V Hello, from belgium |
Karin R a band of fair isle (black-white) between two solids can be knitted by the same stitch pattern everywhere, but solid sections are knitted with white+white yarn. only for the black-white-pattern you need to switch one yarn to black. |
Tina B ah, for example for the black sleeves in the leopard sweater shown...? |
Elaine R She means instead of blue and white, do blu and blue. It will look solid and not have a gauge difference. |
Patricia H Hi from Louisiana |
Tina B a smoothe colourskift, longer coloursequences, and the selvstriping example would be gorgeous |
Karin R With vertical stripes you can just keep knitting fair isle but with two times the same colour... same gauge, lookiing like uni coloured |
Elaine R Even doing 1x1, the placement in feeder A or B makes a difference in which color pops! |
Tina B yarn qualities, like boucle and smooth yarn |
Tina B two different yarns can give interesting effects, too. |
Anne B Hi Anne from England |
