Entrelac knitting creates a beautiful woven texture. Entrelac works on the diagonal and in different directions so it truly looks like strips of woven knitting. Each section is worked over a few stitches each of which can be worked in alternating colors. It is especially interesting with variegated or self-striping yarn.
