Demonstration of Three Needle Bind Off in machine knitting

Three Needle Bind Off

3 Needle Bind off: Hand knitting term referring to joining 2 pieces of knitting while binding off.

Hand knitters will join 2 pieces of knitting by aligning the knitting on 2 needles and binding off the stitches together. Machine knitters can use this same seaming method by rehanging the stitches of both pieces on the needles and binding off.

This technique is often used to neatly join shoulder seams.
