Thread Lace | Punch Lace

A variation of Fairisle, knit with one very fine thread/yarn and one thicker yarn. Adding a very fine thread gives the appearance of lace without stitch transfers and NO FLOATS.

With the appropriate Cam/Carriage settings, both threads will knit together, but the fine yarn will knit singly and form "lace holes".

This is a great alternative to transferred lace. The sample used a white sewing thread. A more "invisible" choice would be to use a transparent filament, like those used by quilters.
