PPD (Brother)
The Brother Pattern Programming Device was an early method of creating stitch patterns electronically to be used with the 900 series of machines.
The device was connected with cables to a TV. Once the design (black and white squares) was complete, the stitch pattern was transferred to an electronic machine.
Cartridges were used along with floppy disks.
Stitch patterns could be stored on floppy disks with the FB100 Floppy disk Drive to save space on a cartridge
