Point cams used to control pattern knitting range

Point Cams

Singer/Silver/Studio machines: Point cams determine the range of pattern knitting.

On Singer/Silver/Studio machines, the point cams determine the range of pattern knitting. The devices slide along the back of the needlebed.
Pattern knitting only happens between 2 point cams.

  • When setting Point cams at both edges of the knitting, the pattern will be knitted across the entire row.

  • When knitting isolated motif, position the point cam on each side of where you want the motif to knit, keeping the other sections in plain knitting.

  • Point cams are used in conjunction with the Needle-1 Cam
