SilverKnit USB
Combination of hardware and software that enables users of Silver Reed machines to create stitch patterns on their computer and download them to the machine to enable stitch patterning (tuck, slip, fairisle, etc)
This device connects Silver Electronic Machines Models SK550 SK560 SK580 SK830 SK840 SK860 SK890 LC580 AG50 SA-3E
Unlike Brother machines, these models do not have built-in electronics. The external SilverKnit device is connnected to your computer via a USB cable AND to your knitting carriage via a Curl Cord
Program your pattern on your computer with your favorite graphics program (Cochenille Stitch Painter, DesignaKnit, BMP, TXT etc).
The patterns can be modified with variations (negative, reverse, center, etc) by using the included SilverKnit software. The stitch pattern can then be downloaded to the SilverKnit box to control your knitting machine thru the curl cord attached to the knitting carriage.
NOTE: The box CAN be used with DesignaKnit (if you use multiple graphics packages)
