Turn Mark in Brother electronic machine knitting

Turn Mark

The turn mark is a position on the needlebed where the carriage is "instructed" by the automatic patterning information

Brother Electronic machines: This is a sensor in the machine that triggers the stitch pattern data being communicated with the carriage.

When setting up the stitch pattern, by passing the carriage past the turn mark, it will correctly select the needles of the current row of the pattern.

Once the pattern is established, it is NOT necessary to move the carriage past the turn mark on subsequent rows.
