The term "linker" refers to 2 different devices
  • An optional carriage that is manually cranked across the needlebed that pulls stitch-through-stitch as if binding off with a latch tool.
    The final row of the knitting is worked very LOOSELY and the linker then binds off each stitch. Brother and Silver Brands offered ths device. They are no longer being made.

  • Another device is a Hague Linker. This is a larger device that is separate from the knitting machine. It allows you join the seams of your knitting. There are manual and electric models available. These devices are still being made
