Mark Needlebed
Keep track of the needles in work by marking the needlebed instead of recording needle numbers
If you've removed your knitting and need to rehang it on the same needles, it's often easier to mark the needlebed instead of recording the needle numbers.
Use a soft pencil or a water based marker.
It will be immediately obvious what needles to use.
This can also be used when hand manipulating stitches. For example, mark the needles used for cables instead of counting.
