Dolman Sweater

A classic sweater style

A dolman sleeve starts with a wide armhole that extends from the bodice and tapers down to a narrower fit at the wrist. This style creates a relaxed, flowing look and gives plenty of room for movement. Dolman sleeves can be subtle or dramatic, with variations in length and fullness to suit different designs.

Because of our needlebed limitations, Dolman sweaters can be a challenge to knit. One suggestion: Knit the back and fronts sideways, scrapping on and leaving open stitches to pick up for the sleeves.
