Merci beaucoup ! I'll try this technique ..
Lynnette D
I have Silver Reeds and Brother, and prefer the Brother...
Nancy M
Marie your ribber instruction book should give details for u knitting.

No, but is the best available
Charles D
Is Silver-Reed the only brand of new knitting machine available today?
Jo W
My first time here. Interesting discussion. Looking forward to future lessons.

You knit a U, two rows on the main bed then 2 rows on the ribber.
Marie-Jo C
Is it possible to knit an open piece with the circular knitting ?
Lynnette D
I struggle a bit with increases and decreases on the ribber

Plaiting in wool and cotton, cotton next to skin, love it.

Cara Here.
Linda D
can’t find show notes for prior live shows

Can you touch on plaiting using the ribber?

Im a new machine knitter and will take the advise of waiting to use the ribber, but still learning a lot and enjoying so many new things
Linda B
Still letting Singer560 studio
Phyllis K D
Really enjoying the information, Sue.
Sherrie B
Absolutely still with you! So excited.
Nancy M

Kelly C
What is a really cast off period. Kelly
byron M
I really learn here that it is totally otherwise with my machine - the passap - it works without any weight. And with out any ribber
Annette B
hello
Lynnette D
Ribbing doesn't roll
Mary Ann B
Yes! Nice for scarves and shawls so you have it finished when it comes off the machine.
Kelly C
sorry just got on I couldn't find you Kelly C

do any of these combinations cut down on the sides rolling
Mia F
I still can't figure out why my stitches are not completely on both ends with the ribber engaged. The incompleted two stitches are just on the main bed.
Nancy M
don't hit each others.
Lenore P
Hi I just got on! Agree with Sue about needing very fine yarn for full needle rib. Also need to make sure your ribber is adjusted properly.
Joan W
Thanks Annie but I love the look of fnr for collars etc
Nancy M
also woth full needle you must be sire your set at half pitch so needle s
Charles D
Am loom knitting while I learn about rubbers from this awesome presentation!
Annie L
Joan try every other needle ribbing.
Sherrie B
I enjoy the ribber, but agree with Joan. Full needle rib still evades me.
Joan W
Also experiencing jams with full needle rib. Very frustrating.
Sherrie B
Didn't say that! I LOVE doing hand knit and crochet additions to my machine knit pieces. So excited to find so many machine knitters!
Nancy M
Some times hand knitting the ribbing is the only way to go.. using a circular you could pick up around the whole outside edge of a shrug, a cardigan, no seaming!
Peggy F
Hello. Iam new from Michigan.

Hi Lorraine uk I not much for rib these days but moss stitch that would be nice,
Marie-Jo C
Perhaps it could be a good idea to drop ever other stitch and knit it on the other side ? ?
SHIRLEY R
Just done that.

But for those of us that don’t hand knit, everything on the machine is our way to go!
Sherrie B
New. Just subscribed.
Mia F
moving the weights up very frequently
Mia F
ribber
Nancy M
Mia, are you moving the edge weights up every 10-20 rows?
Patricia H
my g carriage was harder to figure out for me than the ribber
Nancy M
Hey,Carol, check out the sponge bar on that machine and ribber before you use it.
Mia F
I am struggling with the end stitches not fully completing the new stitch. I tried adjusting the tension mast to give it more slack and added end weights.
Alison J
Taken off our ribber until we master the machine!
Patricia H
love mine, just jumped in and went with it
Karyn B
I second Julie...jams galore.

Julie - I have a ribber and it works fine so long as there is no yarn. If I put yarn in it, the carriage gets jammed with every pass
Carol W
Mine has been under my bed for years...could use your encouragement as I go forth in my new retirement!
Marilyn R

I am just getting to know my ribber for my old Toyota ks787, is it possible to use punch cards to create a different type of textured material, also is using a transfer carriage only possible on certain thickness of yarn?
MIcki
Just wondering if anyone has tips about using simulknit a Toyota ribber feature. Has anyone ever used it for plating?
