Toyota bulky machine( exact same machine as the SK 155). I lined these with fleece. I used the knitted mitten as a template, traced the mitten, then used my sewing machine to make a fleece mitten. I then inserted the fleece mitt into the knitted one and hand sewed around all the openings to secure the lining in. I did not line the flip top as it would of made these way too bulky and hard to flip up the mitten top. The next time I make these I will do a mini flip top for the thumb. Right now the thumb is fully enclosed. This is a very good pattern, and fun to knit. Ribbing is used frequently, at the flip top, wrist, and top of mitten opening, so I think its important that you are comfortable with ribbing before you make this pattern. I suppose you could make this pattern with mock ribbing, and even without ribbing usingsewn in elastic. This is why I love KIN patterns, as they are so versatile. They are a palatte for creativity.
